Dear Clovercroft Families,

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!  We know it is an extremely busy time, but please take a moment to read all the information in this month’s “Round Up”.

The “Round Up” is a monthly publication provided by your Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).  We highlight important dates and relay information on current Clovercroft events.  The “Round Up” will be provided electronically at the beginning of every month from Dr. Vest.  You will also find the “Round Up Flyer” which is a brief summary in your child’s COLT binder at the beginning of the month.

This August “Round Up” is a very detailed guide for the entire school year and will be the only like this.  We recommend that you keep this hard copy as a reference.

Everyone is part of the Clovercroft PTO.  We offer many opportunities to be involved at school. The PTO organizes fundraisers and community events that everyone is encouraged to participate.  Our largest fundraisers include:

  • Invest in the Best (check writing campaign in September)
  • Derby (run-a-thon in March)

We also raise additional funds from passive fundraisers like City Saver books, our golf tournament at Forrest Crossing, Box Tops, Brentwood Skate Night, Clovercroft spirit wear and more!  All funds raised go directly back to our school and staff.

Some of our special events include:

  • Cloverfest (annual back-to-school bash in September)
  • Mother Son Event (kick ball fun in October)
  • Bingo & Baskets (Family Bingo and Baskets full of goodies in November)
  • Parents & Pastries (breakfast with your child in December)
  • Sweetheart Dance (in the gym in February)

We are always looking for volunteers!  If you are interested in helping in any capacity, please refer to the PTO volunteer form in the right side of your green folder.  Also, like us on Facebook - Clovercroft Elementary PTO.  We will provide reminders and new information.  We appreciate your support and look forward to working together.  Please join us for our first PTO meeting on August 17 at 9:15 AM in the Cafeteria.

Kind regards,

Kelly Poynter
